Ok. So at the moment I have black hair. ( Not my natural color hair) but I did it where I dyed the top portion of my hair red and the bottom black. My roots, which are a blondish brown, were starting to come in and I wanted to try and get back to the color of my roots. Obviously, I could not just go and buy the light brownish blonde and dye my hair back to normal, being that the bottom portion was all black! So, of course, I dyed it all black. It's been about a month since I did so and now I want to go back to my natural color. I can't afford to go a professional, so that advice won't help me any. I just want to know if I should get a bleaching kit and do it that way, or get a dyeing blonde kit and do it like that. I know not to do the roots first, but mostly from the middle to my ends and let that sit for about.. 5 or 10 minutes and then do my roots. But basically, my question is : Bleaching kit, dye removing kit, or light blonde hair dye?

Buying a store bought bleaching kit, or blonde hair dye is going to do absolutely NOTHING against the black dye, especially on the ends.
You are going to have to go professional or go to a beauty supply shop and get a hair stripper and strip the dye out. Which of course will ruin your hair for the most part.
Or let it grow out for a few months and cut it short.

definitely dont go with the light blond dye, it will turn your hair copper.. or even a mac and cheese color.. and the red wont really come out with that.. I'm not really into the whole bleaching kit idea either.. your hair will definitely become extremely damaged, and you would have to wait a couple of days to dye it another color after bleaching it. the easiest, and most effective thing to probably do at this point (if you really dont want to wait for your hair to grow out..) is to use the dye removing kit, (which probably wont get all the color out...) and wait a week or so to dye your hair again. this.. again will destroy your hair.. so i would recommend using a moisturizing/revitalizing/renewel shampoo/ conditioner. even going to a beauty shop (sally beauty..etc.) and asking someone there will help.. they have some sort or certification in cosmetology =] good luck !

You need to strip your hair of the color first. If you do it yourself, get a friend to help. Stripping color is a very time related task - in other words, timing is of the utmost importance. It will help to have someone else who can double check the process for you ALL over your head.
Bleaching is not going to do what you want it to with black dye involved.
Also, beware: Dye removal processes can be very damaging even if you buy the best. Depending on the grade %26amp; condition of your hair, you may have to settle for only partial removal and wait for the fading process, rather than risk burning your hair off your head.
After you do this, condition your hair with the best products you can find and afford.

Use a bleach kit with some toner.........Condition it like crazy!!!! Then cover with a blonde kit that is the shade you like.

you will need to strip your hair of all that build up first to either a level 5 or 6 on some colour charts. without actually seeing your hair it is hard to know your exact hair shade level. Try an easy stripping recipe, 9% strength hydrogen peroxide, bleach and shampoo on the black and 6% strength Hydrogen peroxide, Bleach and shampoo on the red.
In saying that it is probably best to get a free consultation from a hairdresser, who is able to assess your hair and make suggestions to you, rather than thinking this product or that, which could end up causing more problems, rather than fixing the existing ones.
