Black Hair & Caucasian Hair!!??

Why is Black peoples hair so different to ours? It is really thick and knotty, Its almost like wire??

I'm just really curious but... WHY WHY WHY?????

Black Hair %26amp; Caucasian Hair!!??

DNA

Black Hair %26amp; Caucasian Hair!!??

thats just how God wanted it to look. any problem.

Black Hair %26amp; Caucasian Hair!!??

No it not thick and knotty. I may surprise you that it is very soft more akin to lambs wool than Caucasian hair.

Also it is very dry. That's why you will see black's wearing a plastic cap. (There conditioning) There hair is so dry that it will break if they do not condition it.

I've been a licensed cosmetologist for thirty years.

Hope this helps.

Black Hair %26amp; Caucasian Hair!!??

Actually, all different races have different hair but most races have straight hair.. Black ppl are only race that has different type hair and that's why there so unique.. I honestly think GOD is sorda black, if you would read the Bible and how it describes him sounds like he's a mixture of creature and Afro man.. Black ppl can have very pretty hair if they want to..

I Have Black Hair how do i color it so i can have Brown hair .?

My hair is Now half Black half red from when i tryed to dye it how do i color my hair so it is all Brown and i have really thick hair . What Should i do?

I Have Black Hair how do i color it so i can have Brown hair .?

I'm a hair dresser. You can not dye hair that is black to brown. If you want to go to brown hair you would have to go to a salon and have the color removed by either a color remover or bleach. I would suggest a color remover first to see wht they can get out then if need be bleach it. The only color you can do yourself that will be one color is black. Thats it. In the levles of color red is lighter than black. you can't color over color to get a lighter shade, color does not lift color. It won't be a lot on your hair to take it to a brown if you were wanting blonde that would ruin your hair but if the sylist knows what they are doing you will be fine. good luck

I Have Black Hair how do i color it so i can have Brown hair .?

Dye your whole head, Go to a salona nd they will help you professionaly.

I Have Black Hair how do i color it so i can have Brown hair .?

Go to a STYLIST - don't do it yourself.

You may want to start by just getting very thin highlights just to see how you like it?

But def. don't do this coloring yourself !!

I Have Black Hair how do i color it so i can have Brown hair .?

what..are you saying how can you telll if your hair is black or brown cause there is no such thing as black hair its really just dark brown

I Have Black Hair how do i color it so i can have Brown hair .?

Use permanent hair dye, not semi-permanent, since your hair is so dark.

If you want it to be more even, just dye your whole head dark brown so it's one color. Then use permanent Light Brown hair color so it will make your hair brown.

You may want to have someone do this for you, someone who has experience or just a hair stylist

I Have Black Hair how do i color it so i can have Brown hair .?

Go to a professional hair colorist/stylist. They can soften the red and get the tones out or soften them up. They can also lighten up the black and make the haircolor even.

Don't do it yourself, those people have a lot of experience and know more than you or me. Believe me, I tried to color my hair and try to change it drastically but it never worked so I end up coloring over what I tried to do.

I Have Black Hair how do i color it so i can have Brown hair .?

Get thee to a hair salon before you totally mess it up - they need to remove all the color, condition it and dye it close to your chosen brown color...but I like the idea of half red and half black myself.. ;^)

I Have Black Hair how do i color it so i can have Brown hair .?

YOU HAVE TO BLEACH IT B4 U CAN DO N/E THING....

I Have Black Hair how do i color it so i can have Brown hair .?

if you really want it all brown i would perfer you to dye your hair back to it's natural color or grow it back to its natural color....THEN do a RINSE brown color becuase too much dyeing can ruin your hair with all those chemicals! hope i help!ed

I Have Black Hair how do i color it so i can have Brown hair .?

Check with your hairdresser first but you can buy hair stripper from most supermarkets which strips the old colour out before you put a new colour in

I Have Black Hair how do i color it so i can have Brown hair .?

Don't mess with it girl - go to a hair salon - now - they can remove the color and try to salvage it....Why in the name of High School Football would you want to go to brown when you have black anyway? If you don't mind me asking.

I Have Black Hair how do i color it so i can have Brown hair .?

cut it off like Britney baby and after it grows back re-dye it.

I Have Black Hair how do i color it so i can have Brown hair .?

You should go into a salon. Color cannot life color... meaning that if you previously dyed your hair, but it has been growing out.. when you put the hair color on it probably only lifted your roots... (where there was no hair color) and the ends would stay darker. The only way you can get your hair to go a lighter color is to either A) wait for it to all grow out and then use a permanent hair color on it or B) lighten it with a beach or color stripper. If you are going to go with option B, I highly suggest that you go to a salon. This is considered a color correction, and takes a lot of experience to get it right. The stylist will more than likely have to give you a bleach bath, and the reapply a toner or a color so that it can get rid of the red, and the black.. and prevent it from turning red again.

Good Luck!

Tips on dyeing my almost black hair a brown color...after already dyeing.?

I'm mostly Greek. My natural hair color is very, very dark brown, almost indistinguishable from black.

I've dyed my hair many times before, but just once recently, a few months ago. I used Revlon dye, one of the lightest blonde dyes because anything darker won't have an impact on my dark hair. My hair turned a nice medium brown color I was happy with.

Now I have a couple inches of new dark growth. Last night I bought a Revlon 'Dark Ash Blonde' color, but I am unsure how to use it.

Do I? :

a) apply the dye to just the new growth/roots

b) apply to just the roots for most of the time, and then add the dye to the med. brown hair at the last few minutes.

or

c) apply the dye to the whole head evenly?

or

d) your advice?

I just don't want it to make my dark black roots turn brown and make my brown dyed hair turn light brown. I want one color on my whole head, obviously.

I rather not go to a salon, if that's your opinion.

Thanks for your suggestions in advance.

Tips on dyeing my almost black hair a brown color...after already dyeing.?

When you lighten your hair you make it drier, just as when you darken your hair you moisturize it - so know that when you add this new color (lightener) your going to make the new growth lighter but also the old hair more brittle. You can rub it into all your hair and it will come out fine-looking - but the hair that's already been dyed with break off easier. I would suggest you do the whole head ( if you just rub it into the roots you risk that your old coloring has faded and your crown will be lighter than your ends).

Tips on dyeing my almost black hair a brown color...after already dyeing.?

i think b)

if that doesnt work, try applying the whole head

Tips on dyeing my almost black hair a brown color...after already dyeing.?

well, b and c. first you dye your roots, for 3 min. then, apply the dye to your whole head. for the remanider of the time

Black and white hair?

Right, I have black hair and I spike up the top and back. I have dyed some of my hair red and blue before, by bleaching and dying, simple yes? Now I'm thinking of doing the back, or another section white. Now, I've heard from some people this can be done, some say it can't. Could you enlighten me on how I would/wouldn't be able to do this? I have also found some white stargazer hair dye in my local shop, which is what should be used apparently, is this true? Or should I use something else? Thanks for your time! :)

Black and white hair?

Why would you want to color your hair white??!!

This makes absolutely no sense!! People will think you are going prematurely gray!

I really don't think you can color your hair white, anyway.

You will just have to wait until you actually go gray and just don't color it.

Maybe you can color it the lightest color blonde you can find.

That would actually reflect your personality more, since this sounds like a dimwitted blonde idea, anyway.

Black and white hair?

white hair is sooo coool, go for it.

Black and white hair?

OK.

I think the way you do your hair now is awesome!

If you could find a way to die black hair, to white, I would totally do it. Just because it sounds so cool.

Im acutally trieing to find an idea for one of my friends. He does his hair the same way as you except his is blonde. He wants to put some black into it somewhere ,we just cant find out where.

Can I dye/highlight my dyed black hair back to blonde?

I have good course hair when straightened since its naturally thick. But the whole year of 2006 I've been adding many blondes and auburn on my light brown hair. I've used the same product all the time the highlights were added or retouched. Loreal for dark hair only. Towards the end of the year ive been retouching and added auburn carelessly and quick on top of my hair being dry. It became damaged and my bangs and whole front broke off bad. i learned that the best way to highlight/retouch is to add twice the moisturizer you normally use right before doing your highlights. I later then dyed the whole bottom of my head black and left the top as is then figured to get my head one whole color to grow my hair back out and then recolor. I died it black and my hair got better. It's been three months. I want to go back to blonde but it wont turn the black, just the roots. I was using the same product as before because i dont know much about any other product. Which one to use? or go to a pro?

Can I dye/highlight my dyed black hair back to blonde?

you cannot lighten color with color! you would have to lighten with bleach. but, you MUST be careful there too. you still have bleach underneath your black color.

it's when you overlap bleach that you actually get breakage!! yes, you need to use moisturizers as well, but it's the overlapping that causes your hair to break off.

it's harder to color back the black tone more so. so, please be very careful, or get some help if possible!!!

Can I dye/highlight my dyed black hair back to blonde?

if you can't go to a salon, go to sally's beauty supply and they could give you more info! Report It

Can I dye/highlight my dyed black hair back to blonde?

My suggestion is to call a salon and get some expert advice. I do agree with you about the salons not listeing to what you want though! Everytime I go and get my hair done, they have never given me what I want...maybe it's the town I live in, but I've never had a great haircut or haircolor at a salon! But anyway, it doesn't hurt to just call them for advice, that's what I've been doing. Good luck~

Can I dye/highlight my dyed black hair back to blonde?

Go to a Pro. Do not try to do this yourself. Go and have it done you will thank yourself latter.

Can I dye/highlight my dyed black hair back to blonde?

Yes but it will take alot of time to change your hair back to the same color you wanted.

Can I dye/highlight my dyed black hair back to blonde?

YOU CAN BUT... ITS GOING TO BE VERY VERY HARD!! THE BEST WAY TO GO IS BLEACHING IT... ITS GOING TO DAMAGE UR HAIR THOUGH.... OR YOU CAN ALWAYS USE A HIGHER PROXIDE UPLIFT... LIKE A 50 INSTEAD OF A 20 OR 30.

Can I dye/highlight my dyed black hair back to blonde?

If You Must "Do-it-Yourself" Try Using A "Haircolor Remover" On The Area(s) You Want To Change. (L'OREAL庐 Has One Or Try The Beauty Supply) Then, Condition The F*ck Out Of Your Hair Untill You Think It Can Be Recolored.

Can I dye/highlight my dyed black hair back to blonde?

I would say if you really don't want to go to a pro, call around to different places and get their input what is best.

Also beauty supply places can give just as much good info cause usually people working there either have worked in a salon or something.

You can go to a salon but sometimes might be good to try a place in someone's home. They seem to be better and actually listen more. I definitely agree with you that they sometimes don't so make sure if you do go it's ok but make sure that your idea gets across no matter what.

I had this trouble myself. I used to dye my hair alot and died it black although my natural color is a dark blond, almost light brown. So, when I wanted to go back to blondish color, I had to use a hair color stripper and then re-dye it a lighter color for it all to be the same color.

I would be careful of that, because I don't know if that is best suggestion for you with the way your hair is. It sounds like it's brittle and very damaged already. You can use a bleach but I would get some pro advice first before it might do something terrible to your hair but good luck. Go the safest route for sure at this point and let it grow out and rest, which is definitely what it needs.

Can I dye/highlight my dyed black hair back to blonde?

Trust me ,you will not get good results if you try to get the black out with another hair dye loreal or other.. The best way to do it non-chemically is to add a teaspoon of baking soda to 2oz. of dishsoap.,let this sit on 5 minutes, rub it through the black bits vigorously.Your hair will feel like straw so will need to be shampooed and conditioned right after. It will take many applications but it will eventually fade.Be patient and it will work. Loreal is a metallic color ,meaning it doesn't mesh with anything else, hence the breaking hair. The roots will turn color as they are "virgin%26lt;or untouched %26gt; new growth, the rest of the hair will be patchy or blotchy depending upon how many applications of haircolor were previously put on it!You are better off to stay dark,or cut it out.

If you do go to a pro, don't be surprised if they make you sign a waiver, most salons will not guarantee anything if you use box color at home. Also most salons refer to this as a corrective color and the price can be outrageous, make sure to ask a price before comitting to the service.

Can I dye/highlight my dyed black hair back to blonde?

I have brown hair, and dyed mine black once. It was suppose to be a wash out dye, but it didn't come out. I went to a salon, and had to have them get it out. It took them about 8 hours to do it! But the time was worth it. They took it slowly, so my hair wasn't damaged, and they conditioned my hair at least 3 to 4 times. You need to find a good salon to go to, and ask them to take it out. When I left, my hair not only felt like silk, but it was back to the original color, and no damage done. Don';t try to do it yourself. You might not end up with the right color, and you might cause damage.

Can I dye/highlight my dyed black hair back to blonde?

You can get the black out but you have to bleach/strip the color, a box of blonde dye won't do the job. I am not sure if it's bleach that the salon uses when they strip dye out or if they have something else. It will be really hard on your hair and you may even have to do it twice, depending how resistant your hair and the black dye are. Since you mentioned damaging your hair before, it might not be a good idea to strip it. Even if the hair feels ok now, that's probably just the conditioner. I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think hair actually mends, it's still damaged. Black is really hard to strip out and bleaching/stripping is really hard on your hair in general, your hair could end up all breaking off if it's not healthy enough for it. If you're set on doing it, I would go to a salon. Even if you don't get it done there, they should be able to tell you if your hair would survive it. If you do it yourself, I suggest getting higher quality bleach/stripping stuff from a beauty supply shop (such as Sally) rather than using the stuff from the drugstore.

Whatever you decide, I hope it turns out nice. :-)
