Hi. I have a question about my hair and would be extremely grateful for any advice, but especially from either hairdressers or from people who have my type of hair, have fought the battle and won.
I am of mixed race - black and white, and have hair that is not quite either. My hair gets curly when it is wet - like ringlets and looks good at a half-way stage between being wet and almost dry. Then it puffs out and is frizzy. I always end up straightening it with an iron and using a glistening spray and am able to make it tolerable, though and rarely able to do anything other than wear it in a pony tail. I have been getting relaxers since I was 3 years old, and have had braids in numerous times. My problem is that my hair will not grow more than a few inches past my shoulders. I'm sure a part of the reason is due to all the processing. I prefer straight hair, though would happily wear it curly if it was a lot longer. Any advice for me to have long healthy hair?

my hair is really curly and like yours it looks good at that half-way stage. use hairspray, mousse or gel and then blow dry it with a low EMF blowdryer and it will stay in place
