Is black hair a good hair color for me?

hey, im sick of my hair color which is like a dark brown and i wanna go to black. not like the gothic fake looking black but a natural black or really really dark brown. im just not sure if it would look with my skin color cause i get really really pale in the winter, so idk if it would look bad. any suggestions? and is there a way i could do a wash out like a 3 day hair color to see if i like it? thanks. ciao

Some people buy hair dye that washes out after 18 or so washes. That might be the best, because if you do permanent black, it will be SO hard redying it!

a wash out hair colour most likley wont wash out if its black. if your eyes are dark brown and your hair is dark brown chances are you will look good with black hair. but consider carefully its really really hard to dye over black hair!!

They make this rinse that you could try first to see if you like it. It is with all the other haircolor's but comes in a bottle with a pink cap and cost's less than 5$ I can't remember the name of it, so I hope this helps you to find it. I know you can find it at walmart.

I would suggest trying this first or a temp color that washes out in about two to three weeks before doing something permanant.

I would say, try wash out hair color. There's some from Loreal i think. It's in an orange package, found in the hair color aisle at stores like target or walmart. That stuff stays until you shampoo about 8 times (it fades gradually every time) and is a great way to see if you like the color or not. If you dont, you can just wash it completely out.

Ps. If you dye your hair permanent black, instead try really dark brown b/c i've done my hair black before and it turned into a really weird bluish black and looked so fake. It especially wouldnt look good with your light skin.

Or another alternative is getting lowlights. Just a couple in your hair. It looks alot more natural.

Yep, go get a temporary black color, one that washes out after so many washes. Personally, I wouldnt go black if you get really pale in the winter. Thats what happens to me. I am naturally dark brown and I keep mine highlighted. It helps with the winter months. Plus I like it much better.

If I had your really pale skin I wouldn't cause it would LOOK like your were going gothic . Just tRy some Litter or darker high lights. Nothing to life changing.

If you have pale skin i suggest you die your hair like a light red and wear silver/ white make-up. If you want to test run your color just get a level 1 dye of the color you want and wash your hair like 2 or 3 times a day and it'll be gone in like 5 days.
