i have black semi long hair i want to bleach the tips blonde what do i do? and im going into swimming season and for a tradittion the whole swimming team bleaches there hair blonde well.. last year i saw people have orange hair instead of blonde they said its cause there hair was black before so what do i have to do to NOT get orange hair??

First you have to bleach it. Since you have black hair it will turn orange, now what you have to do is dye the orange blonde.

that's because they didn't leave it long enough
but bleaching your hair can really damage it especially if your going to be in a chlorine filled water a lot
so instead bleach the tips so your hair get's lighter like a orange or light brown then, buy a hair dye that's for blonde hair and apply that over the bleached part
but wait in-between the bleach and the dye about a week =]

The reason why those girls hair came out orange, was because they did it their selves. If your hair is black and you want it Blondie, then you have to go to a professional. What they are going to have to do is strip out your hair. Which means they put this chemical in your hair that "strips" the color out, then they dye it to the color you want.
I recommend that you DON'T do it! It's not worth it. I did it, and it FRIED my hair. Now my hair is breaking off and a lot of it fell out. Be different...be the one that stands out. Well good luck!
