the biggest problem is the split ends... go get your haircut and get the split ends cut off and your hair will grow faster. your hair cant grow if the ends are dead/damaged (split)

split ends do not stop the hair from growing...your hair does not grow from the ends it grows from the scalp...trimming the split ends only gives your hair a more even look Report It

OK well if they got split ends, and with permed hair. You have to keep it deep condition regularly .Also Good moisturizer..You don't have to cut all the split ends at once because sometimes they might make your hair way short.Start by slowly trim every 4-6 weeks ....Then your hair will grow good!!!!

With all types you have to make sure that you get regular trims and also make sure that you're eating right and exercising. Drink lots of water. Don't use a lot of heat and unnecessary chemicals.

First thing, since you all are part black, you probably don't have baby fine, silky hair and so perms are acceptable/appropriate. I don't use perms, I flat iron my hair. Perms really should only be done by the professionals because they are well trained and they know how to do every little step of the process correctly and they use the best quality products. But if you insist on saving money, only perm hair every 1-3 months, and only apply the perm to your new growth because you don't want to over-process previously relaxed hair. It will cause damage and breakage. Hair and scalp should be washed clean every two weeks (every week if your hair collects buil-up and dirt really fast or you spend a whole lot of time outside). Trim hair (take1/4-1/2 inch off) every 6-8 weeks. Your friends can try trimming uneven hair every six weeks and trim the rest every 8 weeks. Snip split ends off. When you part hair in tiny sections and twist a tiny section of hair from the root to the end, split ends will stick out. Use good quality hair scissors. I cut off my own slit-ends when i spot any rather than going to a salon. Beauticians can get very scissor-happy and cut your hair too short on account of split ends or unevenness. One lady cut my sister's hair so short claiming that she had so many split-ends and my sister was upset for a long time. The thing is that split ends can split all the way up the hair shaft to the roots if nothing is done about them. But the lady should have saved most of the length of my siter's hair (it takes a long time to grow that much hair back) by cutting off enough split ends and trimming it about a half inch, and then repeated the procedure in six-eight weeks with my sister using a Split-end Repairer product in between trimmings and snippings. Make sure you deep-condition at least once or twice every month or you may use leave-in conditioners. Apply leave-in conditioner to ENDS of hair as well. Hot oil treatments are beneficial too. Scalp massages are optional but they do help blood circulation throughout your scalp. Use the best quality brushes and wide tooth combs, and use the best quality hair products from conditioners to shampoos...Cut down on using heating appliances, and when you do use them, make sure to use a good product for prevention of heat damage and breakage (Your leave-in conditioner might be able to do this too). Also, you should be eating healthy. if you don't eat as healthy as you should, taking a daily vitamin is a good back-up method. If you take care of your hair (keeping it clean, conditioned, and trimmed correctly) and your diet is very nutritious, you should start seeing your hair grow healthy and strong at least about a half inch each month. Remember that braids are perfectly fine and can be a style that promotes grow, but insist that the stylist does not braid tightly and try to grab all the hairs around the edges. too tight braids cause hair to break and pull the roots out.
