Dyed Black Hair?

My hair is a natural dark dark brown (almost black)...and I had it dyed a jet black the other day. I really like the colour...but I am wondering what dyed black hair tends to look like after fading and how long it takes to fade...just s a precaution. Also, any shampoo suggestions for dyed black hair (my hair is also curly)?

Dyed Black Hair?

i have dyed black hair ... depending on the brand you used you can see a slight fade after 6 weeks not much though. I would use l'oreal's colour treated hair shampoo or a similar brand its great for dyed hair and helps to replenish the moisture try to keep up on the conditioner as it can tend to get really dry after colouring

any hair color loses it's shade after a few washings and will look dull, so spice that up with a peppy shampoo that gives it shine.

Any shampoo and conditioner.... for color treated hair...

It just becomes dull, doesn't get less black. A good conditioner such as TreSemme does a good job of keeping it glossy. I have dyed my hair every colour under the sun over the years, and black is the only truly permanent one, that one has to grow out, it won't fade on its own.

Hi C , the best thing to use on your dyed hair is baby shampoo , it will take longer to stip your colour , you colour with fade and will throw up a bluey tone , but if your natural hair is quite dark anyway it won`t be so noticable . Just remember to only do you roots each time and just ever 3 or 4 times to take your colour through to the ends.

um my hair is BLACK !!! and I heart it, my hair hasnt faid ever really I use professional dyes though the only reason why i have to keep dying it because my original color comes up, you know my roots.

wash your hair in boot polish - guaranteed to keep the colour

I have near black curly hair too and have died it jet black before. When mine faded it only faded slightly and back to my natural color. Any color that you put in your hair will attempt to fade back to your natural hair color cause you are removing the fake color particles from your hair. The closer your natural color is too the color you have put in it than the less fading. Try Klorane Walnut Extract Shampoo for dark brown to black hair colors. :)

It's going to fade very slowely unless you're in the sun alot. Any color safe shampoo is fine. I would stay away from the Aveda Malva shampoo, it stains your hands and is just annoying to use.

when that black fades it'll look like a dark brown, but only when light reflects off of it. your hair was dark to start off with so it shouldnt fade too much, but to prevent fading use shampoo and conditioner for color treated hair and dont wash your hair every day. the more you wash it the more it fades because washing just pulls color out of hair. wash your hair every other day or even less, you know you can do alot of cute updo's when there is a natural gress build up already in your hair, it holds together better.

Dyed Black Hair?

my hair is dyed black but because my hair is naturally quite light it's fading something awful. but it looks okay on darker hair you can't really notice it, my sis has dark curly hair and she once dyed it black, so I do know, trust me.

girlfriend curls are in fasion you shud b lucky u got natural hair.

it'l start fading after a month. some tend to stay longer.

Dyed Black Hair?

If you have very pale skin, dyed black hair looks too harsh. Hope it fades quickly, then you can get some high and low lights put into your hair which will make you look more attractive.
