Black hair?Good Highlight shades?

I'm 12 and i want a good back to school hair look and I was thinking of getting highlights so i have dark black hair and i never dyed my hair before. What are some good shdaes for my hair?.But not to showable and please show pictures if you have any.

Hello! I also have dark hair, and I usually go to salons, but I also do my own hair. I'm 15, so going to a salon all the time isn't exactly an option. I like having bright highlights, like black base, blonde highlights. But if you don't want something like that, I suggest going with a brownish color. Or redish, or whatever you're looking for..
